- Transfer credits
- Pistis Bible Institute is willing to accept the credits you have earned from other legitimate as Bible Colleges, Seminaries, Christian universities, etc whether they are accredited or not, as long as they teach the Bible and the credits are reported on an official transcript. When the transcript is submitted, PBI Academic Dean shall evaluate the credits, determine the prospective student’s level of learning and place him/her at the right level with no need to repeat topics he/she has already learnt.
- Likewise, credits from Pistis Bible Institute and Seminary have been acceptable at some other good Bible college, but whether a particular Christian University, College or seminary will accept our credits and/or degrees is quite unpredictable. We cannot be responsible for the decisions and policies of others. It’s a very subjective issue depending upon many circumstances but we will offer you official transcript and confirm your credentials when a receiving school contact us in regards to accepting you and your credit in their school.
- Life Experience
- All degrees at Pistis Bible Institute and Seminary are earned degrees. This is achieved by mandatory coursework that must be completed. However, we also recognize and accept life experience which may have been gained through years of ministry work.
- Many people have served in ministry positions and have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in their fields, but do not have any formal certificate, diploma, or degree. Life experience credits can give some of the recognition needed for this service in the work of the Lord. This acceptance of life credits helps a potential student to accelerate their learning college experience and enable them to earn a ministry related degree.
- Applicants must have had more than five years in a recognized position in ministry. No diplomas or degrees can be awarded based purely upon life experience. Life experience credit cannot be given for an entire degree but is limited to a maximum of 30 credit hours.
- Life experience which could include such things as books authored, mission trips, classes taught, outreach ministries, ministries within a church, churches founded, biblical dramas performed, teen/children’s church work, served as a counselor at a youth camp, media ministry through radio or television, etc., must be documented along with the years they occurred and submitted for evaluation.
